The LandAirSea Tracking Key and Tracking Key Pro are similar devices. Both are passive tracking devices that record data information from GPS satellites. Neither device requires a monthly fee because they do not display real-time information.

The data for the Tracking Key is uploaded via USB connection to your computer. The data for the Tracking Key Pro is also uploaded through a USB modem connection. These devices are perfect for users who want to view data after a trip, track a vehicle, or for athletes who want to track their distance and duration during a run.

The Tracking Key comes with a strong magnet mount which allows users to place it in a discrete location. It’s perfect for private investigators or individuals that suspect their spouse is stepping out with another person. The device can be mounted underneath a vehicle because it receives the satellite signal from reflections off the ground. It stores 100 hours of data for playback. It works on two AAA batteries, with lithium-ion batteries (proven to be longer lasting than regular alkaline batteries). The device stops recording after two minutes of inactivity.

The battery life on the Tracking Key depends on the usage. If you drive four hours a day, the battery lasts for about a week. The less you drive, the longer the battery lasts. That’s the main difference between the Tracking Key and the Trac-King, or Tracking Key Pro. The information is viewed on Google Maps and text reports to see where the device went.

The Tracking Key Pro is a passive device too. It records data to view at a later date. Its batteries last longer and it can be plugged into a vehicle outlet using a 12-volt cigarette lighter. Both devices are solid tracking options.
